Field Day 2010

I made it! I got our Field Day Entry Form filed before deadline! (Just barely!) You wouldn't believe how much a little part-time job would get in the way of getting our results in. How did I ever get anything done when I worked a full-time job?

Hey, Gang, we did OK for a bunch of Ol' Texas Country Boys. Bottom line first, we scored 5,146 points based on our QSO totals and another 1,550 points in bonuses for a grand total for bragging of 6,696 points. I suspect the national class 2A leader will show up with around 15,000 points but I'm sure proud of what we accomplished down here.

Those numbers are sure to get the attention of some of the perennial leaders. They are going to wonder just who K5TRO is and where did they come from! Just imagining those reactions is really fun.

Now, if I just had a photo of all of us dressed like backcountry hillbillies (not too much of a reach, I know!) in bib coveralls laying against a tree trunk... What a club QSL card! What an opening page for our website!
