Tradition Set Aside by Mills County Hams
Meeting dates changed from 2nd Tuesday to 2nd Monday.
Because some members and potential members have noted that they have schedule conflicts that prevent them from becoming active in club activities, members have moved their regular meetings to the second Monday evening of each month. Reflecting the attitude of most of those present, Richard Stone held up a blank sheet of paper and said,"Let me check my calendar...Yes, my Monday evenings are free!"
Brought out in the discussion was the change in meeting dates of the Fox Crossing Water District to coincide with our traditional second Tuesday meeting times. Also, several people have Church services held on Tuesday evenings. The new meeting schedule should be more convenient to those who could not attend on Tuesday evenings, without unduly inconveniencing regular attenders.
Beginning with the September meeting, the Mills County Amateur Radio Club will meet at 7:00 pm on the second Monday of each month in the Community Room of the Mills County Housing Authority, 962 E Front St., Goldthwaite. Our meetings are marked with active discussions on a wide range of topics, some of which pertain to the Amateur Radio Service! Visitors are always welcome.
